Sinus lift is a surgery to bone augmentation of the upper jaw. It allows to restore the bone to necessary thickness to install implant in it. For secure attachment at least 10 mm of bone is needed.
To build bone, the bottom of the maxillary sinus is lifted through a small hole in the jaw. Then the material is put there, where it eventually will be integrated into the bone tissue. Once connected to the bone, and material reaches the desired size, implantation can be performed.
